New England Patriots
Atlanta Falcons
I voted for Atlanta, but that was more with my heart than my head. If I had to put my life on it I'd pick NE. Much like Buff, the thought of that makes me absolutely sick.
My future father-in-law is a huge Pats fan and he basically fits the definition of annoying smug Pats fan. Constantly talking about what a dynasty they are, and how no other team is all about the "team" like they are, really just a bunch of insufferable bullshit. I will be so happy if Atlanta just pounds their shit in and knocks all those arrogant fans off their high horses.
But in reality, I'm just not sure I see it happening. At least Denver was able to squeeze a title into this Pats dynasty to soften the blow a bit.

Congratulations, Wave! I'm sure you two will be as happy as Salt and Salt.
I miss the old Mile High Stadium.
So I guess they're already booking their flight to visit President Clinton at the WH.
Actually, it's interesting how things have come full circle: I saw an article last summer claiming ESPN had picked up 538 because 1) the internet and NFLN are killing their sports revenue and 2) Nate Silvers developed his political models from his interest in sabermetrics and didn't think the NYT featured him prominently enough. The article went on to opine that all ESPN's accomplishing is dragging 538 down with it by encouraging Silver to branch out into areas where he has far less expertise.
The reason I say that's interesting is that ESPN was founded in 1979 by Bill and Scott Rasmussen: The same Scott Rasmussen who founded Rasmussen Reports in 2003, a quite "prominent" polling firm whom Nate Silver accused (with ample statistical evidence) of bias during his own rise to fame. Turns out the federal ban on robocalling cell phones combined with Rasmussens reliance on recorded pollsters to maintain their high volume of polls results in respondents that skew heavily geriatric (not that Silver speculated much on the cause, only noted the effect.)

Oh, valid point. I thought you meant all starters, you should take the time to be more descriptive, don't be shy. —Jaded

Anyway, I'll go with my heart and take the Cinderella underdog Falcons. For what it's worth, the Cheatriots pass D was statistically pretty average this year (with the notable exception of yds/att, where they ranked 6th.) Atlantas D was weak across the board, but if anyone's equipped to win a shoot out with Brady and his anonymous receiving corps, it's the balanced #1 NFL offense, which has an elite line to both open holes for its RBs and give its QB time to throw.

I am going with Falcons. If feeney and beasley do their thing and rattle brady it will be over. Look at what they just did to rogers.
But falcons have too many weapons and and matth ice is playing almost perfect right now. It will take a masterful game plan to slow down offense. Shut out WR pike we did and RBs can eat them alive in passing game. Its not about high powered offense but a complete offense.
If its an offensive race then this coukd be a crazy game.
