Thread: Server crash -- outage

Hey guys, around 11:30 I got a site down alert and also an email from the data center saying the underlying hardware node had a hardware issue and they were doing emergency maintenance. Over the next hour, it seemed to be sort of working, and then it went down again and you might have seen MySQL error messages about a crashed table.

So, when the underlying hardware crashed, four vBulletin tables had errors in them and were taken offline. Unfortunately, I put in a trouble ticket and then got pulled away on work and the ticket did not get addressed as quickly as it should have so I then called the data center and then had them repair the tables.

I believe everything should be working now. Let me know if you see any issues.

Yea, truth be told, I had an appointment to get an err, umm, "shower" and I was enjoying it so much, I forgot about the server outage...

Stnzed is still posting. That's the only issue I see remaining

I keep reading this thread as "server crash - outrage", which we all felt when we couldn't post this afternoon

i guess even the server is pissed about joseph. . .
