    Default DeMarcus Ware a guest at Broncos practice, will be recognized during Cowboys game

    A familiar face was back at Broncos practice Tuesday.

    DeMarcus Ware, their former pass-rusher who announced his retirement in March, returned to UCHealth Training Center to watch his former teammates and address them after their workout.

    Linebacker Von Miller and receiver Demaryius Thomas, as well as head coach Vance Joseph, spoke about what Ware’s time in Denver meant to them, and then the team presented Ware a framed No. 94 Broncos jersey.

    The Broncos will recognize Ware and his family during their Week 2 game (Sept. 17) against the Cowboys in Denver.

    Default Former Broncos RB Justin Forsett retires from the NFL

    Justin Forsett is calling it a career.

    The 31-year-old running back had been contemplating retirement since he ended his ninth NFL season in January. He played for six NFL teams and spent his final four games with the Broncos.

    Forsett’s spirited 64-yard rush in the Broncos 24-6 season finale win over the Raiders was a representation of his career. Little was expected, but he often overdelivered, breaking through barriers on the way.

    “Against all odds, critics, and naysayers, I accomplished something great,” Forsett wrote on Sports Spectrum on Wednesday morning. “Scouts measured my height and said I was too short. They measured my 40-yard dash and said I was too slow. They looked at my build and said I wouldn’t last. But they couldn’t measure my heart, my faith, and my perseverance.
