No matter how old I get or how much my taste in music evolves, Metallica's Master Of Puppets album is probably my all-time favorite album start to finish.

So they played a song from my #16 album (Siouxsie, Kaleidoscope) the other day...during the halftime show

Some shuffling of deck chairs.
I realize things now, like the fact that License to Ill might be my favorite album experience of all time--the newness of it and where I was at a 4th grader or 3d grader or whatever. It packed a punch. It doesn't hold up quite as well as some others, but it still has a place.
This ranking is more of a 'holy f*ck--THIS BAND' reaction, combined with enduring replayability and all that.

Licensed to Ill might not be the best Beasties album, it definitely is not the one they want to be representative of their talent as rappers/producers/musicians/etc, or a reflection of who they are as human beings lmao. But it's just so damn good. Wish I was a teen in the 80s just to be able to hear it in that context. Although hearing it as a teen in the 2000s wasn't too bad either.
This thread made me think of a band I hadn't thought of in 15-20 years. It was a small Texas band back in the mid-nineties, but they had at least two studio albums.
However, a funny thing, they've almost completely been memory holed from the internet. I can only find a couple of oblique references to them. I kind of thought the internet would mean we'd never lose track of stuff like this, but that's clearly not the case.
The band was "The Humans". Turns out that is a popular name, as there's several other bands by that name, but Google doesn't turn up any of the albums or songs for my Humans. I think I have one of their CDs in a closet somewhere. I'll have to go hunt it down sometime.
I did not think I would ever make a top 25 albums list where I wouldn't include any Pavement, Modest Mouse, Velvet Underground. I guess I played em out? Idk. Sad!
I haven't listened to half of these albums in a while though, so I'm inspired to go through and see if my memory is boosting how I feel about them.
Buff’s Wedding Album is my favorite

Abe is millennial incarnate in many musical ways. Not a criticism so much as an observation.
I am indeed a millennial ass bitch.
I forgot to put this album, what a ******* idiot.
Love Everlast, love these lyrics as well.
