lol we are indeed spoiled but it only helps the next morning. Some like me move on seconds after the last pitch but of course I'm still upset when they get eliminated.

Took Astros 43 years to win an NL pennant. It took only five years to master the American League.
I miss the old Mile High Stadium.

Does a solid performance and a WS ring push Kershaw into all time top 3 LHP status, or was he already there or am I jumping the gun all together?

I'll say he's already top 4 along with Koufax, Carlton, Spahn. Anything he does moving forward only dictates where in that 4 discussion he ends up.

He would round out the top 5. In no particular order after Koufax at #1.

Lefty Grove has to be in there. 31-4 in 1931, two WS championships. The guy ran up a remarkable record in an era when everyone pounded the piss out of the ball, at least batting average wise

this is a cool picture I took during the ALCS a few years ago... bottom of the 7th in game with the Royals up 3-1 and Fox was already advertising the Royals and Mets in Game 1 of the World Series. Pretty cool how they knew who would win.

*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

Anybody else a little disappointed that it's not a Kershaw/Verlander matchup? How great would it be for this series to come down to game 7 and have two of the greatest pitchers from their generation matching up?

Terrible strike zone, but at least it's been terrible for both teams.

Turner just hit a bomb. With Kershaw doing what hes doing and Jansen waiting in the wings 2 runs might be insurmountable.

Part of me likes staggering Verlander for this reason. Kershaw is so hard to beat in game 1 in a hyped up Dodger stadium - give yourself a better chance to steal a game.
