My point is not to belittle Judge in any way but to highlight just how amazing Trout and Harper really are.
The timing of Trout's injury was bad. His numbers at that time were prolific.

Trout hasn't played since May 28, has played in 37 less games than Aaron Judge (league leader at 5.5 fWAR) and is still 13th with 3.4 fWAR. He is an amazing player who will shoot up the WAR list as soon as he is back. Judge's WAR is very impressive, though, it's a full 1.1 above the nearest guy, Altuve.

Turner has only played in 65 games and has 4.1 WAR. That's impressive too.

Good grief, Dave. Don't bet on baseball.

I'd be interested to see what Buff has to say about this, because as I see it, NBA and MLB are just too unpredictable to even try.

Congrats that the team you picked part way through the season is doing so well. I wish I could pick lottery numbers the way you pick baseball teams, I'd never lose.

I picked them before the season started. I suppose I would be more noble to pick a losing team with awful management while bitching about other teams. That would be far superior.

I mean I could bitch about how the huge salaries of teams hurts the game (even those those massive franchises literally subsidize the smaller teams)! Then I could bitch about how star players on those teams get too much press time! Then to top it all off I could talk about how my team will be great next year, even though not even a month ago I thought my team was the shit. That sounds so much better than picking a team that had interested me for years when I was picking a new team! I'm sure that the year the Rockies went to the WS there were just as many interested fans in them the year prior AND after, too!

But yeah, we'll just act like it would somehow be better had I chosen the Rockies because hey, they don't have that big ole unfair fanbase and revenue! If we had it Chaz's way, we'd subsidize everything. And you said you're not a liberal.

Default Source: Kershaw expected to miss 4-6 weeks

LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers expect Clayton Kershaw to miss four to six weeks with the back injury that forced him to leave Sunday's start early, a baseball source said, confirming MLB Network insider Ken Rosenthal's initial report, making it the second straight year Kershaw will miss significant time due to a back ailment. The club has not confirmed the information.

Rosenthal reported a final time frame will be determined after Kershaw is examined by Dr. Robert Watkins, a back specialist, implying that the four- to six-week time frame is a rough estimate at this point. But it still means baseball's best team will be without its best pitcher for a sizeable portion of the late summer. The three-time National League Cy Young Award winner missed 2 1/2 months with a herniated disc in his lower back last season.

Kershaw is expected to be placed on the 10-day disabled list on Monday. Because of a day off on Thursday, his spot in the rotation will not come up again until after the July 31 non-waver Trade Deadline. Even before Kershaw's injury, the Dodgers had been rumored to be in search of a front-line starting pitcher, with Texas' Yu Darvish the most frequently mentioned target.
