I mean yeah we don't have a (special) running back, but we do have two good ones, booker is going to be a very hard nosed bruiserI, cj anderson is solid but yeah niether are special like Cook. It's just that I feel like RB isn't a top 3 need going into the off season, however if he fell in our laps I would be forced to say draft him.

Oh he's alright, pretty much the same type of player as booker, not special but good hard nose runners who defenders will get tired of tackling if its going well with your o line.

    ummmm...

i dont think mccaffrey would be described as hard nosed
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

Hate to say it but I'll pass on McCaffrey.

I feel the same way, unless he's available in the 4th. He could be a good 3rd down back/slot receiver.

How do people feel about the guy who lost his job to McCaffrey at Standford: Barry J. Sanders?
Oh, valid point. I thought you meant all starters, you should take the time to be more descriptive, don't be shy. Jaded

Dunno, do they use him to return kicks?

Oddly enough, his Wikipedia page says his very first punt return for OSU was 57 yds to the half-yard line. Those huge college rosters are a different world: You can afford to bench Barry Sanders' kid because you've got Ed McCaffreys kid instead. At least if you're at a first tier school; elsewhere it's more like The Water Boy.

I've never really heard of sanders son, if he any good? Goes to show you the genetics dont always fall from the same tree, like how is his father a HOF RB who had talent oozing out of him and none got passed down to him?.

You got that conclusion from Barry Jr being second string to a Heisman trophy favorite?

Yeah, that's pretty much the deal. I don't follow college much, but my impression was that he redshirted as heir apparent to Stepfan Taylor at Stanford, but then Christian McCaffreys redshirt year happened the very next season and suddenly Barry couldn't get any carries, hence the transfer to his dads alma mater.

None of that means he can't play, it just means Stanford's done an amazing job of recruiting RBs recently.
