Yeah. Bummer.
Yeah. Bummer.
George Hill is out tonight too. Looks like Golden State and Houston in the western conference finals.
I'd never count out Pop, but I think Houston's roster is uniquely built to try and contend with GSW. They've got a high volatility team of shooters who could outscore GSW on any given night. Their GM has talked about how since they aren't as talented they basically have to build a team that could potentially outscore them when they get hot. The Clips may have also been in that conversation before Blake got hurt. Utah has no shot whatsoever.
I don't think any team can out shoot Golden State. Trying to do that will result in losing. You have to bully them. Cleveland is the only team that can beat them now. My Spurs are toast.
But I think the point is that you aren't going to be able to defend them effectively for 7 games because their talent will overwhelm you. So you've gotta be able to play the series of your life defensively AND outscore them. Lebron brings that element for Cleveland. Houston has resorted to surrounding Harden with a bunch of outside shooters and hoping to get hot. Anyway - I think we're mostly in agreement - it's gonna come down to GSW and CLE. I just think Houston has the talent and scoring ability to beat anyone when they are on.
Sure is a lot of fun watching Harden shoot free throws.
