Being mad at the refs today is laughable. They had no part of this loss. If anything they saved it from being worse with all the OPI they called on Atlanta.

I think it was the smart play by Atlanta.
I think it was a shitty play, by a shitty team, doing a shitty thing, running up a shitty score.

But I'm a few beers in, so there's that.

Obviously. When being aggressive is the only possible way to lose, why wouldn't you be conservative?

I'm glad you admitted that going for 4th and 1 isn't aggressive though, it's so annoying when people act like kicking is the safe play.

To be fair, I get mad at the refs when they win.

I can still be mad at them for the one call, can't I?

That was rhetorical. Cause I'm mad.

Except it's not the only possible way to lose. You damn near saw how being conservative could lose them the game. Lets us get a quick FG then a chance at the onside kick to then tie.

The only possible way? Show your math, geek.

Well, a thorough asskicking at home where you have to look hard for positivity. Worst loss since the Raiders last season.

    Can't win them all.

Only ones to blame is the oline and a QB who isn't quite ready who was made worse by the awful oline. A little bit of the blame also goes to the offensive gameplan (pretty vanilla stuff), but the oline wasn't giving them much to work with anyway.

Hope Stephenson, Green, and Trevor are ready to go Thursday.

But, we only lost by 1 score!

Ah, the magic of garbage time.

Too me the team was flat. The energy level was low from the very beginning

Eh, an onside kick is only slightly more likely than a blocked field goal. And that's only a slight exaggeration.

Converting the 4th down ends the game anyway, which is very likely.

If you put the defensive play in context, they played very well.

To the number one offense in the league, they gave up the one long TD early, and then played very well, with the offense giving them no breathers. They didn't give up another TD until they were caught with a short field after the bad punt return job (or lack of return) and Lynch INT. Other than the short field TD following Lynch's TD, the Broncos held the Falcons to FGs after that opening TD drive.

This loss was 100% on the shoulders of the offense (mostly Lynch and right side of line) and kick return unit.
