I think by that time Kubiak was pretty confident was going to come out of there with a win and it also gave him the benefit putting his quarterback of the future out there in real game situation to get real experience.

Since Fox was mentioned: That's also very different than only putting Oz in for kneeldowns. Before Manning got hurt, Oz' numbers were:

17/30 for 159 yds, 1 TD and 0 Ints

That'd be a poor GAME for any starting QB, but for Oz it was his three-year CAREER. I realize some of that was Manning being a ball/practice-hog, but: Who runs the team, coach? Manning played hurt the last half of 2014, and the last half of 2013; what a difference it made when the head coach said, "Peyton, go get healthy while Oz minds the store."
