One of my favorite Colter Wall songs is Bob Fudge. I could see you doing something like that. Still dark and bleak but with undertones of frontierism and hope.

Logic comes with a lot of stuff built-in, but yeah.

It's pretty chill. Is any of it real? Like the drums? Or all digital?

Drums are from mic'ed studio sessions with live kits (not us). Logic has some great sounds. At present we are working on lo-fi (see playlist).

Just finished JRE 1559 with Steven Rinella. Rinella is such a good dude. I enjoy everything he does with Meat Eater and his books.

The Athletic Football Podcast, specifically on Mondays, is excellent. Monday is Robert Mays (formerly The Ringer, writer and podcast host) and Nate Tice (Mike Tice’s kid who was like a fourth string QB at Wisconsin) breaking down Sunday’s games expertly. It’s a little scheme heavy, but it’s really good.
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

I really like Tim Ferris, but have never been able to hook on to his Podcast. I'll listen to one here or there when he's got someone on that I like, but it just hasn't been one that I latch on to.

The Meat Eater Podcast on the other hand...now that's a great one.

Listening to a podcast called '60 Songs That Explain the 90s'. Listening to an episode about the Gin Blossoms. Way more interesting than I expected, and it just led me to this moment:

Which hit me way more than I expected (Chris had died two weeks prior). I didn't even know that this song was a Bush staple. They do a great job with it.

You'd probably appreciate his Jocko podcasts from back in the day - before Jocko had his own podcast. I think he also had Stanley McCrystal, which was surprisingly good.

Bootleg Football for those that want to get really good feeling about the draft and players. usually goes two hours with lots of good insight.
"We saw it…. the hussars let loose their horses. God, what power! They ran through the smoke and the sound was like that of a thousand blacksmiths beating with a thousand hammers

They rush on to the Swedes! They crash into the Swedish riters…. Overwhelm them! They crash into the second regiment - Overwhelmed! Resistance collapses, dissolves, they move forward as easily as if they were parading on a grand boulevard

I was one of the guests on The Sci Fi Sentry's video podcast last night talking about the movies Near Dark (1987) and Clash of the Titans (1981). Was a lot of fun.
