And incidents like this seem to be rampant in college athletics. It's a real problem.

It looks like the victim reached out to the head coach for help, not knowing where else to go, and instead of helping her in good faith he lawyered up and tried to protect the coach. It looks pretty shameful on the surface.

It looked to me like she put him in a difficult situation. It's not CU's job to protect him from legal ramifications and help him keep his job. She should have called the police instead of putting the coach in a no win situation.

"I want your help, but don't fire him and don't call the police."

She's a grown woman for crying out loud. Call the police

Having said all of that, she suffered horribly as a victim, and what CU should have done is just called the police in spite of what she had requested. He should have been immediately suspended.

Wow. That is shameful.

I no longer have any respect for that POS coach or the AD.
