Well, he’s 30 now, so I’m not surprised they would advance him, plus his obvious popularity makes it a boon for the team executives. And I don’t see why the general manager who signed wouldn’t hope that he made the majors. I imagine he hopes most of the players he signs to minor league contracts and drafts makes the majors. That’s the goal. But reality is he’s 30 and hit .226/.309/.347 at single A with no pop. If he makes it on merits than kudos to him, but no prospect gets advanced with that bad of a hitting tool, which makes it awfully hard to believe it wouldn’t be a PR stunt unless he improves.
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

He’s still with the Mets. In Florida.

    Probably not.

Either way, this team asking him to play for them is a publicity stunt meant to sell tickets, not because he can play. But I wouldn't expect you to understand that.

Tim Tebow is suddenly on the rise

    https://www.yardbarker.com/mlb/artic...11773_26454503

“Mets have zero outfielders on the 40-man roster that are not already in the major leagues…

“Healthy minor league outfielders above A-Ball and their OPS:

    Matt den Dekker .834

    Jhoan Urena .784

    Zach Borenstein .756

    Tim Tebow .742″

It doesn't take advanced logic to understand the things I was saying in this thread, but you clearly didn't understand a word.

This is a near impossibility while Tebow is still playing. Don’t hurt yourself trying to figure it out.
