I'm with you i liked those 2 the most, Jessica jones wasn't bad, but I didn't dig Luke cage at all or or The iron fist much because of season 1, though the 2nd season of iron fist was def better then the first in my view. Hopefully they get continued.....there is promise for all of them.

Sony makes announcement regarding the fallout regarding Spiderman

    https://www.ign.com/articles/2019/08/21/spider-man-sony-marvel-kevin-feige-mcu-producer

Disney ****ing disgusts me. Theyve already WRECKED Star Wars. Its only a matter of time until the super hero genre is destroyed too.

Yeah this is awful news. Spider-man was going to be a big part of the MCU going forward but Sony keeps thinking THEY are the ones that made those last two movies good. The last 3 Spidey movies Sony made before Homecoming were Spiderman 3 and the 2 awful Andrew Garfield ones. Tom Holland and Marvel studios made him part of a bigger story with time to go back to his own adventures and the wove so much of the MCU into those movies with Tony Stark and Happy Hogan.

I imagine Marvel Studios will handle Spider-man's absence like this:

Or just make sure they release all their big movies the same day Sony releases theirs.

I hope so, I really think that Sony will screw up where Spider-Man was about to go, the credits scenes from Far from home had me super excited.....I think Marvel will just let them fall on their face. What would be really awesome, but would suck for the long term of Spider-Man would be if Holland leaves because of this....I think he did a interview awhile back about wanting marvel and Sony to hash it out so he wouldn't have to worry about the division.....he basically didn't want to have to choose.....

Revison: after seeing the post from ign....I really do wonder what happens going forward, hopefully Sony can continue and move on from needing Disney or marvel but I think peoples expectations should be small for what comes next in any case.....Apparently though Holland has 1 more movie on his current contract so maybe they close it out in good fashion with the path Feige put them on....

I think Sony kinda has Marvel by the balls when it comes to Spider-man. Marvel is pushing forward with Phase 4 and the response was mixed. Black Widow prequel? Thor movie featuring Valkyrie and Jane as Thor? Even with Marvel Studios getting Fantastic 4 and X-Men back in the fold, their short-term movie and TV releases seem tame after the event that was the Infinity Saga. Spider-man was the MCU ace in the hole and Holland is young enough to pump out movies for years. No more Iron Man, no more Cap, and I'm not sure the C-Listers can keep the movies going for much longer aside from the Guardians of the Galaxy sequel which has no date yet.

Spider-man would really bolster this lineup of movies they have coming:

I never watched season 2 of Iron fist. I started out half liking Iron Fist, but as season 1 went along, I just found it dumber and dumber (mostly him, dumber and dumber). Maybe I need to give season 2 a try.

When I first tried to watch Daredevil, I really struggled. I think we watched two or three episodes, and then stopped. The whole blind guy kicking ass was hard for me. Then, after watching some of the other Marvel shows, we went back to it, and in the end, I really liked Daredevil.

As I haven't seen Far from Home yet (I'm on the digital release schedule, not the theatrical release) and haven't clicked on any link due to fear of spoilers, can someone give me the gist of the Sony/Marvel fight?

Sony owns the rights to Spiderman, and Sony and Marvel are in a contract dispute?

Sony owns Spider-Man, FOX Owned X-Men and Fantastic Four, but Disney bought FOX so the odd man out is Sony with Spider-Man. Warner Bros owns ALL of DC comics so its never an issue with them to use whatever characters they want, but when Marvel Studios formed under Disney they always had to ask permission to use FOX or Sony owned characters. FOX flat out refused (which is why we never got to hear the word mutant or X-Men in the MCU) but Sony made a deal that they would "loan" them Spider-man for something like 6% of first dollars made on any movie made in conjunction with Marvel Studios. No matter what, they always made out better in the deal than Marvel Studios but they think its because of the character and not his relation to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. They are basically taking their billion dollar ball and going home.

I agree. The worst thing that happened was they acquired Star Wars.
