Default Peyton Manning Reveals the Six NFL Teams He's Rooting for This Year

As someone who watched the team he grew up with stolen away about the same time Jerry Jones took the team he was raised on to Hell, I feel your pain, bro.

    Most morbidly interesting:

Manning's reason for rooting for the Texans is entirely related to Brock Osweiler, according to Conor Orr. Osweiler backed up Manning for all four of his Denver years and now finds himself starting in Houston. And that leaves the Dolphins and Lions, who are both led by former Manning coaches in Adam Gase and Jim Caldwell.

My lone takeaway: Man, Manning must really hate John Fox. He picked six teams, including his former offensive coordinator's team, and still left the Bears off that list.
Oh, valid point. I thought you meant all starters, you should take the time to be more descriptive, don't be shy. Jaded

John Fox left the Broncos high and dry, was planning his departure during the postseason, and was a lackadaisical; I would not want to support a team with those traits. I am, however, a little surprised that he didn't show the Titans. Regardless, I'm not surprised that Manning is rooting for Brock because Manning has always said that he views the NFL QBs to be in an unspoken fraternity.

I've never understood why people play up a Manning/Titans connection. He played for the Vols, not the Titans, for all of FOUR years. I understand he has a home in TN, but if his pre-NFL roots were a factor in his allegiance, he grew up in New Orleans, so one would expect him to support one of the teams where his father played. Thanks to Dud Adams, the Titans ceased being one of those about the time Manning started playing for the Vols.

Though I can't help wondering What Might Have Been if Adams hadn't fired Wades dad two years before hiring Peytons. Bet Kubiak wonders, too....

He has a nice relationship with the owner of the Titans. I'm not saying he loves the guy, Joelseph.

Manning said he really wanted to sign with Titans as a FA, has ties to the area, has been rumored to have FO possibilities. Lots of things...I guess that's all in spite of the FACT that he has no idea they even exist.

Maybe the new owner; he's only been in charge a couple years, so it'll be interesting to see whether he can turn things around there. The Raiders seem to be improving now that Al Davis is gone, so maybe.
