Considering the Lakers have no problem paying a hefty luxury tax and Magic is running the show, I would disagree .

He’s getting old, the legendary wear and tear of the big man will hit like a Mack truck very soon. Also, Kyrie unceremoniously bolting the Cavs and Paul George not even thinking of joining him in L.A leads me to believe potential super team partners want nothing to do with his ego and bossiness. Getting Kawai would make things interesting, but the cost of that trade will deplete a lot of their young talent/draft picks, which will not be enough in the Wild West

He also keeps himself in great shape and is going to playo ff the ball. Kyrie did leave, and George did stay. Those are valid observations. However, it's still the Lakers, it's still the preeminent and premier franchise in the league, and stars have loved to play with him in the past.

Next year when they have roughly two max cap spaces is when they will make their move. Klay Thompson could very well end up being a Laker. Kawhi isn't like PG-13 in that KL is very stubborn and not prone to be persuaded by others.

I think that LBJ will get one, and only one, ring in L.A.

For instance, Karl-Anthony Towns is up next year. Klay Thompson is up next year. Porzingis is up next year.

Sans Klay, those other two are young enough to go "I'll be in the midst of my prime when LBJ is done," and would be a Laker. That's tough to beat. Take any of those three, add in Kawhi, and then factor in the young talent L.A. has now. That's by far the most talented team in the league, even over what would be an old GSW team.

I don't think LeBron has a year to waste. LA should go get Kawhi for this year.

Good on him. I love seeing athletes that don't just provide lip service, or even just money, he works hard for causes that are important to him. I still think MJ is GOAT and he's co-GOAT, but he's a hell of a man as well.

It will be a public school with public funding, costing the taxpayers 8 million a year.

And according to that article, LeBron is still contributing millions of dollars to fund the startup of the school as well as various annual costs (which I assume would be stuff like the free bikes and college tuition).

The fact of the matter is that this school wouldn't exist without all the effort put in by LeBron. And honestly, I can't think of a better use of taxpayer money than for a school like this to exist which helps struggling/disadvantaged students and their families.

I would imagine that the taxpayers are probably getting themselves one helluva deal. But, I don't know that for sure.

I salute Lebron for what he’s done for inner city youth! He’s a great man. I’m just pointing out facts that are conveniently left out of the coverage of this which directly affect the taxpayers.

In one years time i promise there will be staggering tax increases to residents in an already struggling area.

But i would hate to burst the bubble of the naive who have never ran shit or know how to operate a business in the REAL WORLD.
