    Default U.S. Open

This is a great golf course. Should be a very interesting week. And now with the rain, the rough is going to be crazy.

Only about 1/2 the field has played 1/2 a round. Supposed to dry out, but it could be a Monday finish.

I've never even heard of a 'par 6.' Damn

I do believe that the 684 is the longest on the PGA tour, though.

Johnson was standing over his ball on 5 and it moved. He, the rules official and his partner agreed it wasn't a penalty. No harm no foul. On the 12th tee, the USGA decided it could be a penalty but they wouldn't make a decision until the end of the round, but they told all the players. So because of their indecisiveness, the final two hours were played under complete uncertainty. Luckily, Johnson hit the shot of his life on 18 to win by four, err, three, because they eventually assessed the penalty that happened four hours earlier.

Thank you, Mo. Your sports explanations are always succinct and accurate. I wish you were on ESPN, and not just so I could tweet troll you.
