I'd link The Players Tribune, but apparently Jeter can't afford server space.

Saying he has experienced "by far the most challenging few weeks in my professional life," Durant announced Monday his decision to leave the Oklahoma City Thunder in a post on The Players' Tribune.
Durant is expected to sign a two-year, $54.3 million contract, sources told ESPN's Marc Stein. The deal would include a player option after the first year.
"The primary mandate I had for myself in making this decision was to have it based on the potential for my growth as a player -- as that has always steered me in the right direction," Durant wrote. "But I am also at a point in my life where it is of equal importance to find an opportunity that encourages my evolution as a man: moving out of my comfort zone to a new city and community which offers the greatest potential for my contribution and personal growth.
"With this in mind, I have decided that I am going to join the Golden State Warriors."

Well, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em.
Fare thee well, KD. We will miss you in OKC. Sam Presti will continue to do amazing things with the roster. We'll be fine in time.

Shortly after Kevin Durant announced his decision to leave the Oklahoma City to join the Golden State Warriors, one fan became so incensed that he burned the Thunder's superstar jersey:

rest - http://blog.sfgate.com/warriors/2016...me-to-oakland/Jerry West’s NBA legacy didn’t really need any polishing up. The guy already appears on the league’s logo, after all. But it would appear the 78-year-old tallied another career milestone: convincing Kevin Durant to sign with Golden State.
West – now an adviser to the Golden State Warriors – reportedly called Kevin Durant on Saturday night and explained to him how difficult it can be to repeatedly fall short of winning the title as an all-time great player. West himself lost seven times in the finals as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers.
West pitched the Golden state lineup as Durant’s easiest path to a title, and after a couple of nights of sleeping on it, Durant is now headed to Oakland. The four-time leading scorer in the NBA will (presumably) team up with all-stars Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and MVP Stephen Curry, but perhaps not center Andrew Bogut. Durant hasn’t yet said how big of an influence that conversation was on his decision to sign with Golden State, but social media is already labeling Jerry West as the closer in the deal.

Not going to hate on him, i understood when Lebron did it and i understand why he is doing it. Warriors have a good team and Durant makes them that much better.
cant even compare this to what Lebron did.
