I think this is fantastic news. I love Madden and I don't EVER want to see any active Broncos players on that cover. Yes, superstition is stupid... But, it is one of the harmless things I don't mind thinking about because for me, it ONLY applies to sports.

Forget Madden. The only cover you want is the cover of Sports Illustrated the week after a Super Bowl win.

rest - http://www.sportingnews.com/nfl/news...21fvrbu2nvp690It's certainly fair for the Denver Broncos to question why Rob Gronkowski is the cover athlete for Madden NFL 17 and not their own Super Bowl MVP Von Miller.
What the team didn't do however is ask why Miller is getting punked in two official screenshots released by EA Sports. Despite being involved with the company as part of the promotional program for Madden NFL 17, two of the first three images officially released for the upcoming game feature Miller getting shown up by offensive players.
In one, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown is dismissing him with a stiff-arm. In the other it's Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley hurdling over his tackle attempt.

With the amount of money Von is expected to make, they can diss his image in a computer game and I'm sure it won't bother him one iota.
I miss the old Mile High Stadium.
Von took out a certain athletic someone in oh... his last game, in the open field. Von was covering a rcvr and Cam scrambled to the right, got the first down and tried to juke Von, but you can tell Von followed Cam's hips, grasped him and body slammed him out of bounds. That's an open field tackle, isn't it?
I think Cam should be upset about this as well, he's got more reason to be on the cover than Gronk does. No Super Bowl MVP, no NFL MVP, but a dude that got beat a game before the Super Bowl? That's our guy!
Lol, Mack is rated higher than Miller....what?
