A month or two ago during the height of Scoobymania(tm), the Wise Guys here assured me that Scooby Wright was "the best LB in the draft", that we'd better pick him in the third round like their mocks urged or we'd miss out.
I made a nothing-bet statement (meaning nothing was wagered) that Alex Collins (RB, Arkansas) would be drafted before Wright. I said just wait until the actual draft.
Final Results:
Alex Collins, Compensation Pick #171 to Seattle in the fifth round.
Scooby Wright, Compensation Pick #250 to Cleveland in the seventh round.
Wright was the 14th and final player chosen by his own club, just three players from the end of the 2016 draft.
Either none of the 32 teams recognized the "best linebacker in the draft" as the Scoobois insisted or some folks here just fell in love with a name instead of a player.
