    We still have 8 picks. We can always move up again. We probably don't have 8 slots on the roster for rookies anyway, and we're not gonna fill our whole PS with em. There will be a bunch of UDFAs and cuts from other teams for that.

    It's one reason I have to assume Jaylon Smith is on our list of potentials: we can medically stash him and still have plenty of picks left over. I don't think Elway is done consolidating picks yet.

    Flip side is it's tough to spend your first 2 picks on guys that wont contribute until 2017 at the earliest.

    If we needed run stuffers in a 4-3 I'd agree. But neither of these guys have the pass rush skills to play a 5-tech. I'd prefer Ward or Jones fall.

    Oh, I wouldn't use the 2nd on Smith, you're absolutely right. I'm just saying he's on our radar early third day if he's there still. With the way Jack has fallen with a somewhat less-severe medical issue, Smith could be there in the fourth.
