Van Halen has a great quote that Prince played just enough guitar to make people think he was a genius but not more. Think there was something to that. The amazing thing was a guy with all these other talents could shred on the guitar a bit.

Prince is probably the most prolific and talented musician we've ever seen. Not just as a guitar player, but as a songwriter.

He reportedly has a "Vault" where he keeps thousands of unreleased songs. There is an entire wikipedia page dedicated to music he has not released.

Prince is well known in the entertainment industry for having a vast body of works that have never seen the light of day. It has been said that his vault contains over 50 fully produced music videos that have never been released, along with albums and other media.

He was a perfectionist, a musical genius, and a marketing genius.

Sad news but I many would take 57 years of Prince years over whatever slog they have going on.

I grew up idolizing that guy when I was a kid... then I learned more about him and read interviews with him. Yep, he's an arrogant piece of shit

Prince played all of the instruments on his debut album.

He also wrote a song called "Soft and Wet."

He was better than all of us.
