Prince Rogers Nelson, the icon known to the world simply as Prince, has died, TMZ reports. He was found this morning at his Paisley Park estate in Chanhassen, Minnesota. He was 57 years old. The cause of death has not been confirmed, but last week, Prince had been on a flight home from Atlanta when his pilot was forced to make anemergency landing to take Prince to the hospital. A representative said he had the flu.
Born in Minneapolis, the iconic musician released 39 studio albums throughout his prolific career, including two in 2015: HITNRUN Phase One and Two. His most iconic release may be 1984's Purple Rain, as well as the film of the same name. Pitchfork named the title track the best song of the 1980s.

I just posted this too. I'll get rid of mine. One of my all time favorites.

I know his drummer. She's going to be devastated.

I'll never forget his Super Bowl performance in the rain where I thought he had a 50/50 chance of getting electrocuted on live national television. Earned my respect that night.
I miss the old Mile High Stadium.

Wow. I'm floored. Way too young. Been some huge losses in entertainment this year.

Oh snap, deleted my thread instead. Damn you bitches.

Anyway, big fan of Prince. Purple Rain is always a classic go to for me.

It's an NFL video, so I can't embed it.

If it's confirmed that it's Prince, that really sucks.
    Great musician.

I'm curious what it was. We know he went to the hospital recently for flu. I might be hopelessly out of touch but I've never heard of him having significant health issues.

He was so secretive there's no telling what it was.
