I signed up for the GM mode to see what it was like and its pretty cool but trying to figure out the best way to sign FA's is still a work in progress. However, after cutting some dead weight i was able to sign a couple of guys who i like and think could help the team defensively plus i like this draft a lot to.

    LB Donta Hightower- FA
    DL Calias Campbell- FA

I get all excited but there's guys we're drafting now that just won't be there come draft time. McKinley, Leggett in the 3rd, Cunningham in 2nd...Kevin King in the 7th? I bet they're all much higher.

10 total, I believe the exact picks in North's post are off by one slot. I believe Broncos pick 20th.

I know the comp picks are not decided yet. But does that include those?

They have the extra 3rds on there, I'm assuming that they are included though there's no way of knowing how accurate they are. But the comp picks are in a finite range and won't vary much even if it's a guesstimate.

CBS draft board (NFL Draft Scout). Fanspeak currently has Denver with three 3's, two 4's no 5's and only one 7.

1st (20) -- Ryan Ramszcyk LT, 6-6/325, 5.2; Holding out hope he's got LT's reach, there's a good chance he's still there because of surgery.

2nd (51) -- David Njoku TE, 6-4 /250, 4.53; Wanted Jordan Leggett from Clemson, who was still there, but apparently this guy is the next big thang.

3rd (82) -- Dion Dawkins RT, 6-5/325, 5.2; He's a possible move to G but either way it addresses the line of scrimmage and (most importantly) the OL. I'll be surprised if he lasts this long on draft day.

3rd (97) -- Tonah Kpassagnon DE, full-fledged freak @ 6-7/280, 4.8; Taking care of the pass rush and line of scrimmage in one pick, I really like this dude. Level of competition is an obvious concern.

3rd (101) -- Artavis Scott WR/PR, 5-11/195, 4.4; Clearly PR is a huge need but so is slot receiver, apparently the Broncos took a liking to this dude at Senior Bowl, he's a Third Year Graduate exception to the bowl's Sr only policy. I'd prefer Stacy Coley (Still there) but both check PR off the list of needs.

4th -- Brendan Langley CB/PR, 6-1/199, 4.4; Again with the PR issue, which I believe is huge, this along with Raymond gives Denver actual competition at PR. This kid is a former highly recruited CB at UGA (iirc) who transferred to a small school, South Western East San Antonio or some shit. Might be even more of an option at PR than Scott.

4th -- (145) Obi Melifonwu S, 6-4/215, 4.48; This guy is the reason I ran this pipe dream mock, the Broncos don't really need him (yet) but in the 4th it's a value pick. Plus he can play (For those of you that care about such things).

6th (204) -- Josh Tupou NT, 6-3/362, 5.36; The 6th round is the right place for a Homer pick but Tupou fills a huge need as a run defense anchor. He's no Vince Wilfork in his prime but could be the kind of player Wilfork towards the end. Depth/Wave player. Go Buffs!

7th (241) -- Jimmie Gilbert OLB, 6-4/230, 4.7; This not a Homer pick, dude shouldn't have lasted this long. Tall, skinny pass rusher but he made plays in coverage too. Put some weight on him and he might be able to fill Barrett's shoes when/if Barrett moves on. (Or moves to ILB, like he should) Go Buffs!

Sucks Denver only has one 7th rnd pick, would have added Sam Tevi, OT Utah, 6-5/315, 5.05 with 35" arms. Moves well, all Utah OL seem too.

Also, watching for Derrick Griffin, TE from some Podunk little school, huge recruit at WR that went to Miami but flunked out before he got started. Kicked off team for something stupid, decided to enter draft, probably cause he's a freak. 6-6/240, 4.5's.

Joe Mixon slipped through my fingers, went in the 3rd round. 2nd best RB in this draft.

I've been keeping an eye on this one, too. Film is the man amongst boys problem with a smaller program. Senior bowl reports are that he is a project...I'd take a flyer on him late 3d. Upside is you get one of those guys that only comes along once or twice a draft.

3rd round is a good range for that type of prospect, apparently he's wicked smart too.

I see a lot of ramcyzk. He is the #2 rated tackle with Alabama Robinson as the #1. Both could be available at #20. I go with robinson who is not coming off injury.

That free agency mode is a bitch, I offered Campbell and Brown and both rejected.

To be honest, I didn't know Brown had THAT good of a season.
