I agree. I think Prescott is worth at most an early 3rd. Since Den has the latest 2nd round pick, I think that pick falls in the same category. But, I'm pretty confident that if Dallas is as high on him as I think they are, they will get him by at least the 3rd, but may trade down in the 2nd if they think anyone else is interested in him. I'd be perfectly content if we land Hackenberg in the late 3rd or 4th. He's a project, but I think he is capable of learning to hone in his skillset with good coaching. Not sure if Prescott can do that because he relies so much on his running ability. Good leader though.

This is just not the year to take a QB in the early rounds. Nor, is Kaep worth a pick earlier than the 3rd or 4th.

Let's role with Sanchez, get a serviceable veteran backup or competition for the starting position, even if it's Hoyer (who is likely to be cut), and roll the dice.

Besides, Brian Hoyer's middle name is Axel. We can roll with that!

Dal needs to consider replacing Romo soon AND they coached Prescott through the Senior Bowl and liked him a bunch then. They have an early 2nd round pick and may pull the trigger if anyone else shows any interest in him.

I'm not saying we SHOULD make a move in the 2nd. I hope we address other needs and take Hack in the 3rd. I doubt any other teams are in need of a QB to pick him up prior to that other than the few teams that need a QB right away (Browns, Rams, Dallas... I leave anyone out? Oh, Jets if they don't get Fitz back... Maybe Eagles if they aren't satisfied with Bradford (I know they extended him)).
It depends on how he grades out. Elway has been pretty good and not picking player earlier than they should go.

Add in QB aspect and he could go in 2nd round anywhere.

Please say no to Hoyer! From what I've heard thus far, next years QB class leaves a lot to be desired. If they do select a QB, this is the year to do it. Let him marinate for a year or two. then get him on the field.

I doubt you've ever laid eyes on Liufao, it's not like I just compared Andrew Luck to some DIII stiff, it's Dak Prescott. Besides, I'm not talking about what they've done in college, I'm talking about pro prospects, neither are that good. Both are far closer to that DIII stiff than Andrew Luck.

Can you show me a single scouting report that has that guy projected to get drafted at all next year? I checked walter football and he's not in their top 20 QB prospects. He is #18 on CBS' list, but do 18 QBS typically get drafted in a year? It's an absurd comparison. And it's not even like they have similar college numbers. Dak's blow his away in every regard and he plays in a tougher conference.

Worst case for Dak he will be a backup somewhere for a few years. This Liufao guy will be lucky to ever get on a 53 man roster.
