Its never a good sign when you start throwing your team or coaches under the bus.

Those GM's can have him. If we havent addressed QB yet, and he is there in the 5th...fine. Earlier than that doesnt make sense in this offense. Trouble with deep balls and minimal mobility doesnt exactly fit a Kubiak scheme.

I like Hogan as a prospect but i agree with you that he isnt rated or ranked very high. While i question a couple of the QB's listed in front of Hogan these are the QB prospects currently ranked ahead of him on the draft chart:

    5
    QB
    JARED GOFF - CALIFORNIA

    7
    QB
CARSON WENTZ - NORTH DAKOTA STATE

    33
    QB
    PAXTON LYNCH - MEMPHIS

    39
    QB
    CONNOR COOK - MICHIGAN STATE

    71
    QB
    CHRISTIAN HACKENBERG - PENN STATE

    106
    QB
    DAK PRESCOTT - MISSISSIPPI STATE

    140
    QB
    CARDALE JONES - OHIO STATE

    165
    QB
    JACOBY BRISSETT - NC STATE

    182
    QB
    BRANDON DOUGHTY - WESTERN KENTUCKY

Granted he is slated to go somewhere between the 3rd and 5th rounds but most of my mocks had him falling past the 5th or later.

Well...we can look at different sites and see different rankings and none will be the same. At the end of the day, I look at skillset and how it marries with our current needs. There is the possibility that Hogan could end up being a decent NFL QB...but I dont think it is in this offense. A guy like Derrick Henry might be ranked higher overall than a lot of other backs, but those backs would be better fits in this offense than Henry. It's too easy to fall in love with a guy and forget how he fits a team.

Well said....Henry is a not a good fit in the West Coast ZBS, but he would probably be a good fit in a power scheme.

Dunno, Flacco really wasnt the kind of QB designed for the Kubiak system but actually ended up flourishing in it. I really dont see Hogan not being suited for that kind of offense personally but if it were up to me i would take Cook over anyone outside of Goff which isnt even a possibility.

In all honesty...when looking for the guy to be the QB for the next 10-15 years...Wentz is the only guy I like right now. I'm sure one or two of the others may pan out in the right system with the right development, but we just dont have the liberty of waiting that long.

How is Jones rated higher? He is God awful. He is Tebow 1.2, athletic but that is all. He is not accurate, does not do progressions and was benched after a couple starts. Only reason he started any games was because 2 QBS above him went down. SOB thinks he is better then everyone and thinks his HC is a dumbass.

Many drafts and talking heads have cooks above lynch. Like bucky brooks.

Apparently, he's rubbing NFL coaches the wrong way during his recent interviews, because he's blaming the Penn coaching staff for his decline in production since his freshman year. I don't mind that. The proof is in the pudding.

I would not be the least bit upset if Elway pulled the trigger on this kid.
Ezekiel Elliott criticized his HC and seems to be getting thru that, if Hackenberg were that kind of prospect it wouldn't be an issue. I'd have a boner a cat couldn't scratch if Denver landed either.

    4th round— Charles Grant LT
    6th round— Vernon Broughton 3-T

Hack's biggest issue right now is being comfortable. Something he couldnt do the last two years at PSU behind that travesty of a OL. His rushing stats back that up. 6 rushing TD's on NEGATIVE 240 yards rushing. He ended the season so gun shy it was ridiculous. He might need therapy as much as he needs coaching and development.

Is he immobile? Why does he take so many sacks? Problems reading defenses? Can't throw ball away. That us a huge negative number.

    Uhhh...

COMPARES TO: Jay Cutler, Chicago Bears -- Players with power arms and well-built frames, Hackenberg and Cutler have similar strengths, but also similar question marks as inconsistent ball placement and pocket awareness can limit their pro ceilings.

Wont get any argument out of me regarding Jones or Prescott but never the less a lot of draft boards have those guys ranked ahead of Hogan.

No not immobile, just spent the year running for his life, sometimes against a two man rush.

I don't think he has a problem reading the defense either, I just think if he threw the ball away everytime, they would have been three and out every time they took the field's

I am all in on this kid, but I am biased as I watched him have a career day in Dublin!!
