Take the ferry and go to Bainbridge Island. It's beautiful there.

Seattle is one of the great cities in the US, detestable football team and head coach notwithstanding.

It is a beautiful place. I thought about moving there when I was young, but I like sunshine too much.

There's a ton of new microbreweries there but Elysian is the only one I'm really familiar with and while they're interesting, I haven't found a spot on par to the extent I'd firmly recommend.

There's a pretty cool Whiskey Bar downtown. If that's something you'd be interested in that will be easy to track down.
Elysian is owned by Anheuser Busch (inbev) now, TJR

I think Pyramid has sold out. Elsid might be right about their restaurant, but their beer sucks.

I had heard about the Seattle rain, but it was weird. It would be overcast all day, but the rain would start and stop all day long. Rinse and repeat the next day. But it wasn't a soaking rain which was nice.

Rain doesn't bother so much as the never ending overcast skies. I feel stir crazy after a few days of no sunshine.

Apparently that wears on you over the long haul but I love that weather when I'm visiting.

When it's sunny the place is so clean and green.

There's no doubt it's a gorgeous place. The green landscape by the ocean is majestic.

I'm speaking more of my experience here in Idaho. We get a lot of sunlight here, but there's usually 2-3 weeks straight of inversions in January that keep the sun out. I get really restless after about day 4. I need the sunshine.

Just got back from round 3 in seattle. Got to the hotel at 8pm, took an uber to the space needle. Got there at 8:30. Once I figured out the ticket booth was on the outside, the restaurant was closed. Still went up there. Its beautiful at night.

Never got to Pikes Market, but I did eat at The Metropolitan Grill. They had steaks there over $100. There was also a Fillet Sampler that had 4 - 4oz fillets from the US and Japan, that was $210. No joke. I had the 34 oz porterhouse and garlic mashed potatos for $89. Had to split the bill or else somewould have came after me.

The steak was great. Not over seasoned. Since it was only me, I ate my steak in peace, and watched the 5th Wave on my phone.

I think that was the last trip unless we win the project. Even then, Im not sure if I will get to go.

Oh...last thing. If I do get to go back, people recommended that I check out a place in pikes market called the Pink Door. They said the food is great, and they have some side shows there as well. I guess on Mondays (when I was going to go), they have a trapeze artist there. The Space needle was higher on the priority list.

Well unsure how you could have missed the Market again - but the real question is how did their ridiculously high minimum wage impact your trip? How badly were you inconvenienced?

Got in late the first night, worked late the 2nd, third was meetings all day and travel.

Not sure how their wages would inconvenience me. I think one or two spots didn't allow me to tip, but their prices were on par with some of the other places.

I sure hope I get to go back.
