Wade tried to make Mario Williams a 3-4 OLB "like DeMarcus Ware" and I thought it did not work. Mario was lost out in space and ran himself out of position as often as he got sacks.

I tried the Fanspeak mock with CBS board a second time last night and Ezekiel Elliott was there, again. Since the anti-Elliott folks hated that pick, I chose DE Bullard from Florida to take Malik's spot. I then drafted the Alabama C in the second round but soon found myself taking Dak Prescott again. FYI, the CBS site listed DeRunnya Wilson's 40 time as 4.85. Even at 6-5, that's not going to cut it in the pros so I passed on Dejoggya and chose the kid from Oklahoma this time. Late picks were pretty similar. You can find 3-4 ILBs in the 5th and 6th that will serve just fine.
I miss the old Mile High Stadium.

I'm a Mississippi State fan so it's 100% me being a homer. Having said that, Prescott is being projected as a second rounder so if we got him in the 4th that would be a great value. I don't think he lasts that long though.

Where Prescott falls will be determined by the four guys who are in front of him. It seems like a clear pecking order:

Tier 1: Jared Goff and Carson Wentz
Tier 2: Paxton Lynch and Connor Cook
Tier 3: Dak Prescott and Christian Hackenberg

Every draft board I've looked at stacks them the same way.

I'm a Cu fan, no sense in my being a homer.

Cook took a dump today so maybe he's available in the 3rd.

They are looked at 4th rounders in many drafts. Project QBS or just game managers.

I've been running some post-FA mocks but nothing I'm dying to share. The last one had Jack Conklin falling to us at #31 so I took him even though Paxton Lynch was still there.

    Orangehoof's Post Early-FA board 3/19 (w/ CBS Board)

With free agency, much has changed. QB is now a big priority, LT is not. We need to see if we can find replacements for Malik, Trevathan, Hillman and O.D. I made one minor trade-down, sending our 2nd to San Fran for their 3rd and 5th. In the 7th, I took some long shots.

    31: R1P31
    QB PAXTON LYNCH
    MEMPHIS

    68: R3P5
    DT CHRIS JONES
    MISSISSIPPI STATE

    95: R3P32
    RB ALEX COLLINS
    ARKANSAS

    99: R3P36
    WR RASHARD HIGGINS
    COLORADO STATE

    137: R4P38
    TE TYLER HIGBEE
    WESTERN KENTUCKY

    143: R5P3
    ILB BLAKE MARTINEZ
    STANFORD

    145: R5P5
    G SPENCER DRANGO
    BAYLOR

    220: R6P44
    S JORDAN LUCAS
    PENN STATE

    229: R7P7
    ILB JOSH FORREST
    KENTUCKY

    236: R7P14
    DE GREG TOWNSEND JR.
    SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA

    254: R7P32
    RB KEENAN REYNOLDS
    NAVY

Got our QBOTF, a solid DT for the middle, a slashing runner, some new weapons for our QB and depth for our defense, including two prospective replacements for Trev. If the name Greg Townsend is familiar, it's a nod to select his son while Reynolds was a running QB at Navy who broke several of Staubach's records and has the versatility to be a "slash"-type depending on what he shows in camp.

I'm not sold on Drango either but since he fell all the way to fifth when most boards have him taken in the third, I decided it was worth the flyer.
