    Now that the old people have made their barely intelligible remarks, who had the most cultural significance? Beastie Boys or NWA?

    NWA by far. They changed the rap game, and changed the direction of the urban black culture.

    White kids from the suburbs haven't changed much since the Beastie Boys came out.

    I think that's the right answer. Just asked the question because of Chaz's comment.

    I think NWA had the largest influence of any of them, albeit some of it was a bad cultural influence.
