Trajectory angles would normally prove if a wound was self-inflicted or not.
Then again, anyone who is both a Browns fan and an Indians fan has just cause for being suicidal.
I miss the old Mile High Stadium.
No you wouldn't dude. You're a smart guy. I'm 44 years old and learned how to handle a gun when I was in grade school. Yeah, stupid stuff can happen to smart people, but I have never pointed a gun at myself.
Rule#1 treat every gun like it's loaded.
Rule#2 never point a gun at anything you don't intend to shoot (this includes yourself )
Rule #3 never put your finger on the trigger unless you're ready to shoot.
If you're smart enough to not get behind the wheel afte a fifth of vodka then you're smart enough to not point a gun at yourself and squeeze the trigger.
Yeah, a young officer in Iraq, cleaning their 9 mm discharged it at the feet of her OC.
She cocked the weapon, ejecting one round but picking up another as the working parts went forward, then unloaded her mag, thinking the chamber was empty she fired of the action to complete the unload drill. No one was hurt, but she was cleaning toilets for a while and lost some wages!
So while I think it is rare, there is a certain breed of idiot out there that makes it very possible
