6'2" and a beast.
Dont know why Chicago is cutting him. The last 5 games of the season the man averaged 4.6 ypc! Tag that with 18 receptions for over 150. The man WAS their offense!
Please come to Denver to get a ring next year.![]()

IN PATON I TRUST.
...and we'll be paying him with....?
I miss the old Mile High Stadium.
I'd much rather keep CJ Anderson, to be honest. We don't need an aging Matt Forte, as good a player as he has been

I would LOVE to have Forte. I know we can't pay him, but our running game needs a boost at RB like that, and he would be awesome. I said this last year when it became clear that they most probably would be moving forward with their young RB.

Him and cutler. Package deal.
1 problem is that he is aging. Another is that he will not be too cheap.
However I would not mind him on the roster to replace hillman. This would guarentee juwan is gone too. Kubiak will more then likely find a true FB this offseason.

Hillman?Hillman wasn't created, drafted, nor meant to be the starting 'workhorse' RB, yet had to and did a pretty damned good job of it. You guys act like he was the worse. CJ is just "ok"... if we actually get a starting RB that is good, then he wouldn't be filling Hillman's role, he would be filling CJ's.

I actually don't see it that way. I like CJ as our RB1, but he gets hurt too much to be reliable for a year's grind. Use him as part of a tandem, and he's fine. Hillman isn't as terrible as people make him seem, but he's likely to not be on the roster next year. I don't see any way we cut CJ but keep Hillman as a "change of pace" guy.
Forte is 30 now - what kind of deal is he going to get? I like him a lot, but I'm not sure if he'll work here unless he comes really cheap. When we thought the Bears were going to have a fire sale last year, Forte's name came up, if I remember correctly.
It wouldn't surprise me at all to see Denver go after a top-tier UFA back once Peyton retires because of CJ being injury prone, Hillman sucking, and the importance of a successful running game Kubiak's offense requires. But aside from Forte I have no clue who is available. Doug Martin? Chris Ivory? Maybe Denver can lure Marshawn out of retirement?![]()
