Thread: Playoff Sadness Thread

    Default Playoff Sadness Thread

A.J. McCarron was announced as the starter today. The season is completely over. I'll be watching an embarrassing slaughter, on prime time, at Cincinnati. The fact that the slaughter will come from the Steelers makes it that much worse.

In unrelated news, my interest in self-immolation has increased.

You guys may win still. Pitts has a bad defense, dwilliams is banged up, eifert is back. My money says you win!
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

I dunno King, I think your striped boys have a shot. Pit has laid a couple eggs this year, and you know its going to be a hard hitting war. You might be surprised. If nothing else if you could beat the shit out of them physically that'd be great. Tia.

Look at the Pittsburgh defensive stats when they play us. It's like they're in 2005 all over again.

    Self-immolation baby.

Sorry, King. You can pull for us to revenge your Bengals in the Divisional round.

You were already screwed the second McCarron was named the starter.

If it comes to pass later that Dalton could have played, and he clearance from the doctors, but we were being conservative I will probably run drink myself into a catatonic state.

Bengals win - Dalton gets traded to the Texans in the off season - McCarron goes onto be a star

Did the bengals not sweep the steel this year? I cannot remember if you guys won the game Dalton and Eifert went out. I had those two and I ended up losing my FF playoff game by 13 pts. I am confident had I not lost both I would have won, subsequently I turned off the tv and dont remember who won.

No they split the series. Each team won in other team's house.

Well the Ravens beat the Steelers with a guy they had picked up off the street so anything is possible.

Remember, there can be no slaughter without "laughter".

I feel like the worst thing that can happen for the Bengals would be to win, have Andy Dalton come back and then lose yet another playoff game. Now things like that could seriously divide a locker room.

The way the Steelers get hyped to play us is the exact opposite of how we get hyped to play them. Both teams have incredible energy. Yet our guys often are the ones who are caught by the ref for doing dirty shit, and we do have some dirty guys on the team. It's some shit. We get outside ourselves and we don't fold up, but after the score gets a little too high for a little too long we start making real bad mistakes.
