I think St. Louis really tried to keep the Rams. San Diego stopped trying to keep the Chargers. ESPN gets to inflame the situation showing some clown in the middle of the night throwing eggs at the Chargers HQ.
I miss the old Mile High Stadium.
I remember when the Oilers announced they were moving to Nashville. The final season saw attendance at the Astrodome plummet to where you could buy quality tickets right before game time and sit in your own row.
Clearly, Houston wasn't the reason attendance sucked because the Texans have sold out most of their games since 2002. It was that the fanbase was so tired of Bud Adams' threats to move the team if he didn't get his latest demand that the fans finally said, "Fine. Hit the road."

are they going to change their name to the LA Smog?
This sucks, I was holding out hope that the Chargers would build us Broncos fans another new stadium.

This really is what happened, with a healthy dose of being sick of Bud blowing up the roster each and every time he micromanaged it out of a title shot. He wanted to make money selling skyboxes, so kept demanding the Dome take out more and more seats to make room for them (even though he consistently failed to sell out the seats he HAD: As an Oilers fan growing up in Houston, I remember all too well how often games a half hour drive from my house were blacked out.)
What's really sad is how much McNair seems to be cut from the same cloth, except he thinks he knows all about QBs instead of offensive linemen (at least Bud had enough sense to know what really mattered, even if he had no clue WHY, ignoring OTs to chase top Gs year after year, even in the Run 'n Shoot era when they NEVER RAN.) Reliant's almost two decades old now, too; wonder how long before it "needs" replacement.
Oh, valid point. I thought you meant all starters, you should take the time to be more descriptive, don't be shy. —Jaded

rest - http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/story/s...angeles-011717Chargers owner Dean Spanos announced last week that the franchise will move to Los Angeles after 56 seasons in San Diego, but the team won’t be relocating easily or without resistance.
Led by Oceanside, Calif.-based moving company HireAHelper, San Diego movers have banded together against the franchise, signing:
“We decree, henceforth, that we shall unite as a perfect union of professional movers in agreeance (sic) to not aid the San Diego Chargers’ move to Los Angeles.”
