I'd still rather have Julius Thomas, with Owen Daniels salary.

He's played much better since they threatened his job by trading for Vernon Davis.
    He's been playing possum.

He got off to a slow start - but has been reliable as of late. He is tough and an improvement over Tamme.

Go with Daniels and Green the rest of the way. Let Vernon Davis bring them water when they're thirsty.

He might drop it though, and I don't want those guys getting thirsty. Give that job to Bubba Caldwell

Tamme is having a decent year in Atlanta.

Got to give Daniels some credit. He really stepped up.

Can he continue this is the question?

Let's not get too carried away. Owen Daniels has more drops than Davis this season.
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

What is each of their drop rate though? It seems like Daniels has probably been targeted more.

Probably. Owen Daniels is in the Top 25 players for drops according to Washington Post. Davis isn't listed, meaning he has less.

Daniels had a good game. Caught two crucial catches. I'm not going to get carried away.

I mean, no one is saying Daniels is an all-pro. But he is our most productive tight end at the moment.

All is forgiven for now, especially as much as O.D. stepped up last night helping the BRONCOS to the win.

You could run a 4.2 but you are no good as a tight end if you can't catch.

*daniels runs a 6.87 3 cone which is elite for a tight end. The vaunted Vernon Davis only runs a 7.00. Still very good but not elite.
