He made some great passes last night, some better than Dalton i feel. Too bad about the injury.

I thought McCarron balled out last night.

He was clutch on third and long, made good decisions, nice deep ball threat also. But what happened to him is what happens to most young qbs playing a talented pass rush, eventually they got to him. Then that last play was just a bit tragic

You do have a great point. It was a tale of two halves and it looked like Oz and AJ switched bodies in both halves. Once the pass rush got them there was nothing either could do.

Cincy may have some teams knocking on the door about him in the off season.

Not if they decide they would rather let Dalton walk.

Definitely although that could backfire ala Brees/Rivers scenario if Dalton goes on to win a championship before AJ. However, in this case i think AJ might actually be better if given more time on the field. Some of the throws he was making were right on the money and only where the receiver could catch them. I was impressed.

I think they could, essentially, be the same QB. Dalton had been having a career year for sure, but outside of this year he has been above average. Not great, sometimes not even good enough to get it done, but better than any other alternatives out there. I think AJ can be that, if not a little better, and he doesn't cost 17 million a year at this point. Maybe free up some cap space with a cheap QB for a few years and beef up some other areas.

I don't know, I'm no GM, thankfully, but I could see a scenario where the team decides to see what pieces they can get for Dalton and ride with AJ.

It doesn't keep aging once you've drank it and pissed it in the toilet.

Well truth be told when I said one day it will be twenty I only meant that one day I will be able to afford 20 year old scotch.

But, this is just that much more enjoyable.
