has any one else noticed it is always the pats receivers that seem to get hurt (maybe just maybe the "great" tom brady is somewhat responsible for that)
The Patriots throw more and run less than most NFL teams and their offense is predicated on short timing routes to receivers who likely have a DB in the vicinity. Thus, a lot of punishment is absorbed by the receivers. We were that way with Manning and it was tough keeping DT, JT, Welker, Sanders, Decker, etc healthy because of all the hits they took because of all the throws Manning made. Simple math.
