    Default Thanksgiving...

So my mom usually does Thanksgiving, but this year she has to work on Thanksgiving so we'll be doing the traditional spread on Saturday following Thanksgiving. I am going to do the main day Thanksgiving and decided to have a go at Beef Wellington. Anyone have any tips?

Thanks for the tip, Turf! We're having that Saturday....my kids won't eat it twice in a week.

I went to a dinner party where the lady made beef wellington and it was too die for!

Gordon Ramsey. His signature dish is beef Wellington and I think there is a ton of videos out there on how he does it.

My wife made Ramsey's Beef Wellington. Mighty fine, let me tell you

We're going to some restaurant in Akumal that supposedly will be serving a traditional American Thanksgiving dinner. Hopefully it isn't as bad as the place we went to last year. No stuffing and no green bean casserole was a real bummer.

I've never had it. It's steak/roast covered with puff pastry? It -sounds- a little weird.

Unless it's deep-fried or thin-sliced on a sammich though, I don't even like turkey much anymore. My wife's family makes it 3 times a year very traditionally and it's fine but it's just not my deal. Even sides are meh but I do like stuffing.

I'm jealous of families that have evolved to fish frys and whatnot and change it up.

My family has changed things up this year, they are going to my sister's in salt lakes. Last year there was a bar here in Cheyenne I was drinking at and all the regulars started bringing in tons of Thanksgiving food, everybody brought something. I might do that again, watch football and bring some dish.

I thought it looked weird when I had it, but it was seriously unbelievable.
