It wasn't too shabby, it started out as kind of depressing holiday, work got in the way of going home, so I stayed up here. The whole bar was filled with good people, cheap drinks, and free food.

When my boss had his 2 bars, we usually did a big thing the day before or the day after with everyone who wanted to come and then one the day of if we had any staff that wanted to. I didn't expect many to show up to the day of, but surprisingly it was a full house. A lot of people just didn't have a family home to go to for the holiday. The bar we had in south Denver, everyone there was family in our eyes. Usually turned out to be a really nice day and much like a family get together, one guy gets too drunk and has to be put down, one gets sloshed and gets uber sentimental and so on and so on. I miss that bar, a lot.

I think turkey is pretty boring so i'm all about substituting it for a steak dinner. New York Strip makes for a good thanksgiving.

It's hard to go wrong with New York strip. My wife's family will roast prime rib from time to time. I can't recall ever asking where the turkey was

I'm probably gonna get started on some Jim Beam and Cola as soon as I get home from work around 8am.

I wonder if uber runs in Cheyenne tomorrow. That would make things so much simpler

Not directly related, but in Manila, Philippines you can get an Uber helicopter for about $87.

We decided against traditional Thanksgiving fare this year. We lost our big dog Cassie on Thanksgiving last year just as I started the bird, so we decided to do something she would like more, steak.
