Thread: NFC East

    Default NFC East

There's not a division I enjoy watching more than the NFC East. I'm not sure why. I guess because I don't hate any of the teams. Their games always seem to interest me. The division is usually close. The teams are always really good, really bad, or really average. But they are all always on the same level. I like watching Romo and the Cowboys, Eli and the Giants, and the Eagles and whoever. I liked the Redskins when they had Shanahan. Now, I find myself cheering for the Giants first, and then the Cowboys.

Does anyone else have a certain division they always like watching?

NFC North for me. My sister-in-law is from Chicago. My Dad is from Wisconsin and I have a lot of family who are huge GB Fans. My mother in law is from Minnesota, and I loved the Vikings in the 70's. The Lions were usually fun to watch with Barry Sanders, but obviously not so much anymore.

    In order:

    Vikings
    Packers
    Bears
    Lions

The NFC East does seem to have just about the best rivalries top to bottom of any division other than maybe ours. All 4 of those teams/fanbases seem to hate each other equally.

If you want parity, the NFC South is for you. All of these teams make a run at it periodically but, for the most part, draft near the top every year.

Being an old AFL fan, I still gravitate to the AFC West. Of course, I love the Broncos but I can get into a Chiefs-Chargers game or Chargers-Raiders, etc even without the Broncos being involved. Plus, they're all original AFL franchises so there's a lot of history going on here.
I miss the old Mile High Stadium.

Mine will change each year, like this year I am really looking forward to the seachickens not making it out of their division, so I am watching some nfc West with interest this year!

Agreed - the NFC East is always compelling, and the AFC South is always a dumpster fire. I'm always disappointed when the Thursday or Monday night game is between AFC South teams.

I tend not to watch NFC East games. I'm just not into those teams much. Yes, they've played some good games but they're all just kind of mediocre teams on the same level, which is why. Outside of the Giants getting hot in the playoffs twice and Phily's one run with McNabb, the NFC East hasn't had great teams since the early 90s.

The Cowboys are always the most compelling 8-8 team in the league.

For me, its the AFC North games. Baltimore, Cinci, and Pitt. Man those are some TOUGH and HARD HITING games. I love watching them. It's like they are not only trying to win the game, but trying to see which team can leave the other team broken on the field when its all over.

Without bias, the AFC North and NFC North would be fun. I really hate Pittsburgh and Baltimore though, as well as the Bears.

My buddy is a Bucs fan. So I tend to side with him in my dislike for the Saints, Falcons, and Panthers. It's a tough division for sure.

I like watching the AFCN, duh. I'm also found of the AFCW right now. Every team has a defense that hits hard. That division reminds me of the AFCN a few years ago when the Bengals, Browns, Ravens, and Steelers all had at least decent defenses that hit. While the Ravens and Steelers seem to be the biggest rivalry going in the AFCN, the Browns and the Ravens are also great games to watch in terms of punishment.
