Miller is always top rated even when the stats sheet don't show it.

That's not what I heard 'em say. Think about it: How many times have you heard a RUNNING back say something like "man, I hate when the QB's under center; put me in the gun so I can use my skills"?
Oh, valid point. I thought you meant all starters, you should take the time to be more descriptive, don't be shy. Jaded

Default The Squeeze: T.J. Ward's performance and postgame celebration

Happy victory Monday! There’s nothing better than the day after a win and then realizing the Broncos are 4-0! The Broncos are back at it today and so are we, so here are three things to get caught up on starting with winner of Sunday’s game ball:

    1. Ward named MMQB Defensive Player of the Week
Safety T.J. Ward was all over the field on Sunday. Not only did Ward tally two sacks but also forced the fumble that sealed Denver’s win over the Vikings, and he added six tackles and a batted-down pass.

MMQB’s Peter King took notice of Ward’s prowess on the field and in his list of Defensive Players of the Week, he put Ward right at the top.

A great pass rush needs not just a speedy front seven but also the ability of players in the secondary to make the occasional impactful blitz. That’s one of the reasons GM John Elway imported Ward from Cleveland a year and a half ago, and it really showed at the key moment of Sunday’s 23-20 survival test at home against Minnesota. With the Vikings driving at their 47 with 35 seconds to go and down a field goal, Ward sprinted in from quarterback Teddy Bridgewater’s right and strip-sacked the quarterback, forcing the ball to go bounding away into the hands of Von Miller. That was Ward’s second sack of the day—the Broncos had seven, and lead the NFL with 18—and he added six tackles and a batted pass.

OLB DeMarcus Ware was also picked as the only non-quarterback for King’s ‘First Quarter MVP Ballot’, so make sure to read the rest of his roundup here.
