Default Bulls' Rose suffers broken orbital bone in practice, will have surgery

CHICAGO -- Bulls star Derrick Rose will have surgery on his left eye after being elbowed in the face.

The 2011 NBA MVP sustained a left orbital fracture on the first day of practice, the team said Tuesday in a release. He is scheduled for surgery on Wednesday, and a timetable for his return will be determined after the operation.

It's the latest in a long line of injuries for Rose, and the last thing the Bulls needed with a new coach in Fred Hoiberg.

Likable? Aren't you trashing JT in part for not playing hurt?

Rose famously refused to go until he was "110%" and basically spent 2 years rehabbing an ACL.

Now there's a group sex scandal which even the admitted part is gross...

JT was not remotely in my thoughts when I posted it. I could be ignorant of what hes really like, but what I know of him I like.

I don't know anything about Rose swingin'.

Not buying the lawsuit, personally, admitting that this is the first I've. Heard of it and I've only read two stories. The woman tried to file the suit three times and it took three lawyers to find someone to take it.

Past that, I like Rose, he just cannot stay healthy. The Bulls probably need to move on.
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

The rape is probably bogus but stories like this make what went down seem "unseemly" at best.

Bunch of dudes passing some skank around...best case scenario. Yuck.

I just found it interesting you'd find JT soft for not playing through an injury but not Rose (assuming that's part of your distaste for JT).

I don't think I ever said he was soft for not playing through injury.

I think part of why Rose has taken so long to get back is because he rushed back from injury a couple of times and got reinjured.
