Thread: Brock Osweiler receives final reps, Broncos hopefuls receive final chance in preseason finale

Final preseason games crush dreams. Twenty-nine percent of the players standing on the sideline Thursday night won't be in uniform on Sept. 13. The final cutdown to 53 players arrives at 2 p.m. Saturday. For Brock Osweiler, Thursday starts his countdown back to the bench.

The reserve quarterback will play the first half against the Arizona Cardinals, looking to tie a bow on a strong preseason. Few players had more at stake over the past five weeks than Osweiler. He will be a free agent at season's end, making every practice and game snap an evaluation on whether he represents the future.

No conclusions have been drawn, but Osweiler has made noticeable strides. Beginning with March workouts at Kent Denver with receivers, Osweiler began carrying himself as a leader.

Cant wait to see this game. Everybody that gets in has a punchers chance. Kubiak says every year this game changes the coaches minds. Someone is going to emerge

I've always heard that for the most part the coaches know who is going be on the 53 man roster. Running back is probably one position where Denver more than likely carry four guys you have two backs competing for that last spot.
