Jaguars' TE Julius Thomas expected to need surgery on tendon in his finger and is expected to miss 4-5 weeks, per source. 2nd opinion Tues.
I read that also. Why did they wait on the surgery? He got hurt at least a couple of weeks ago.

Because Thomas is soft and doesn't want to play the regular season.
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

Default Julius Thomas mulling finger surgery

Jaguars tight end Julius Thomas is considering having surgery on his finger, a procedure that would sideline the two-time Pro Bowler for at least four weeks.

Jaguars general manager David Caldwell confirmed Monday that Thomas, the team's top free agent acquisition this past offseason, will receive a second medical opinion Tuesday before deciding whether to undergo the surgery.

Was he not injured his rookie year with us? His 2nd year was his coming out party. It's a shame but he is a band aid through no fault of his own. Glad he's not on the Broncos, don't need that noise.

Not true, it's blocking his return to action.

He was hurt his first two years. It was his third year when he finally showed some skills.

Maybe he showed up late to his own coming out party.

Damn it, Julius, get back out there!

Nick Korte ‏@nickkorte 19h19 hours ago

The more snaps Julius Thomas misses, the more likely the Broncos only get a 4th round compensatory pick for him in 2016 instead of a 3rd.
