Most players get popped for PEDs. Weed certainly isn't a PED so they're not cheating, hence it's considerably less problematic. Miller still broke the rules, but he wasn't trying to gain an unfair competitive advantage over anyone, which completely undermines the entire sport if athletes can do it and get away with it (hence Barry Bonds being a disgrace to baseball and the entire steroids era in baseball making historical records from those years a joke).
The use of PEDs is a serious problem in all sports. Do any of you remember the 1988 100 meter Olympic final between Ben Johnson and Carl Lewis? Johnson looked like a tank due to all the steroids he'd been using and they caught him and stripped him of his gold medal. A few years later he tried to make a comeback and I saw a picture of him and he was just this skinny dude! (He finished last in his heat in the 1992 Olympics).
The NFL is going to have to adapt to a society in which weed is rapidly becoming legal in all states and probably will be decriminalized nationally as well soon.
Good for you Von. you are my new higher power. don't let me down
