He might but that would more than likely keeping around a kick off specialist and I doubt the Broncos want to do that.

I haven't seen any on kickers yet. That said there is a third kicker roster right now.

Its in this thread. In FG drills McManus went 2/4 one day (including a miss from only 37 yards) and 3/4 another day. Barth, (also mentioned in this threads reports) has been far more accurate.

I've went back looked and I found tweet that spoke of McManus having a bad day it didn't say bad but it also said the next day he had a better day. I also saw another tweet showed he was like 4/4 from that distance. If Barth wins the competition that fine with me but I don't think Elway brought McManus back and other guy in just for the heck of it.

Also Doom just posted this tweet fwiw:

Denver is really going to need him too so hopefully the fluff is accurate.

I doubt they want to tip their hand yet, but it appears that Barth and Colquitt will be the two kickers on the roster come opening day. Vic just posted this:

Vic Lombardi ‏@VicLombardi 22m22 minutes ago

Connor Barth told me he worked with a kickoff coach in the offseason. It shows. He kicked a couple out of the endzone today.

... so if he can actually kick touchbacks a portion of the time and still be accurate on FG's, he's probably our guy.

I saw one tweet that said that Barth sent one out of the end zone. I agree if he can do that with some consistency that's great because I don't think Denver wants to take up a roster spot with a kick off specialist.

Yeah, they've made it pretty clear that they only want to carry two kickers (which I think most people would agree with). I guess I assumed that meant McManus would improve his accuracy but Barth working on kickoffs works just as well.

Dapper Dan is right - we spend a lot of time talking about kickers around here.

If the position was settled it wouldn't talked about.
