I like that most changes were subtle. I think a lot of fans were worried about being like Oregon. I'm not sure about those gray basketball uniforms. They would look better without the stripe. I like the updated Smokey Gray football uniforms. It looks like the lighting on the helmet, but it's really mountains. I like it.

Not terrible, but grey isn't a school color. I get it, when you want to snazz up your jersey and the only two colors you have to work with are orange and white, there's not a ton you can do, but...I dunno, traditional doesn't look bad.
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

Yeah, there isn't much to choose from. I'm glad they didn't go with black. At least the grey goes back to something traditional, the first uniforms they ever wore. It's an alternate anyway. I'd say they will wear them during 2 games a year, max. One thing I would add is a checkerboard undershirt like they had with Adidas.

Something about the material they're using, only Alabama and Ohio State wore them last year in their bowl game.

The Grey is sharp looking but does take away from the traditional look of the Vols. I think this is a case where it really didnt need to be updated or at the very least changed to that color. I thought the changes to Louisville's was for the better (Mo disagreed) but in this case i dont think it really works for me.

A lot of older fans aren't very happy with the Grey. I still think it is as traditional as you can get when it comes to alternates. The grey color which is "Smokey Grey" was the first color ever worn by the Tennessee Volunteers football team. I also think Butch Jones is trying to start a new tradition and get people excited. The last decade has been the worst in the the history of UT Football. I'm just glad we didn't go with black like pretty much every other team.

I used to have a negative opinion on Nike, but it's changed a bit. Like one Tennessee sports writer said...I've never seen a recruit turn down a school because they didn't have Adidas, but I've seen a recruit turn down a school because they didn't have Nike.

That orange one is a little too Bengalish for my liking.
