Default 8 Reasons why seeing a concert at Red Rocks will ruin your life.

Well, i dont really care about what Rolling Stone thinks but yes seeing Clash of the Titans in 1990 at Red Rocks was effing awesome for so many reasons. Definitely one of the best concerts ive ever seen. Also had the luxury of seeing Stryper, Loundess, TNT, Kix, Tesla, and Great White there.

    8. Because you learn no other venue can imitate the acoustic perfection that Red Rocks provides..

    7. And no other concert venue in the world can compete with these views…

    6. What other venue can you go to where Mother Nature was the architect?

Joe Bonamassa has played there. If he ever comes back to Red Rocks, I'm making the trek.

Back in 2005 Oasis played there, and we had a lot of folks from England and other areas across the pond come out here to see them. The concert was one of the best I'd ever seen there and the crowd was great, but it was rather amusing hearing all the people complain and gasp for air just WALKING up the stairs to the amphitheater in varying accents. First time I had heard the phrase "this is absolute bollocks" outside of a movie as people leaned against the railings halfway up!

Well if you are around in Oct - i am sure you will hear that phrase again. Followed up by "this is THE bollocks" - which changes the meaning considerably

Beastie Boys and Run DMC in the mid 80's.

One of them had a can of beer, threw it in the air in the middle of the song, new style

    Let me clear my throat
Kick it over here baby pop
And let all the fly skimmies, feel the beat
    mmm drop

They held that mmm drop until the can hit the ground. I went nuts as a kid.

I stopped reading when someone said Oasis was the best concert.

Red Rocks is one of my most favorite places. Even if it's not for a concert. I've seen many there. The best for live music ever.
I also like going there during the day, just walking around. It's absolutly beautiful.
Go there on a Saturday or Sunday, spend half a day then go to Morrison. Have bite to eat and a beer. Great afternoon!

OH yea! That was my first concert ever. Stryper was the headliner and Loudness and TNT were there in support. Stryper kicked ass by the way.
