I'm going to do this for the Open. For now, just set up an account and go with your suggestions. Sounds badass.

If you're opening a brand new account - let MO refer you and then you both get free money.

That's my favorite kind of money.

MO is making the leap for the first time... He's been building his bankroll. He's gonna rent us a cabana in Vegas if he wins it.

I think I need an email address. PM me. I can do it later.
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

Something like the first part. Sure, on the second.

I'm up and running. Think I'm going to focus on golf and world cup for now. What are the best contests in terms of value?

There are two main buckets of contests - cash games and tournaments (much like online poker).

Cash games - 50/50s, double ups, head to head are the best value. But your upside is limited on those. On the tournament side - they range from small (less than 100 players) upwards of hundreds of thousands of players - I think the best value tournaments are single entry or 3 entry max - then they range all the way up to the largest tournaments which allows as many as 150 lineups per person. I recommend the Rotogrinders chrome app (free) which will show you overlay, % cash, and some other useful stats which you wouldn't otherwise have.

I find myself honing in on DeChambeau and Stenson in my initial builds.

So there are fan favorites--guys like Phil that draw bets to line up with the fan experience. Are these typically good plays to bet against, generally speaking?

Yeah. Tiger and Phil are probably the biggest on that list. You can roster them, but you’ll need to differentiate somewhere else with a lower-owned guy. Justin Rose and Dustin Johnson also appear like they’re going to be heavily owned, probably more than Tiger or Phil, fwiw.

I guess what I'm asking is: should the savvy better have a bias against fan favorites?
