True. I wish it was that easy.
Just for example, first two holes at TPC Sawgrass require, ideally, a cut with an iron to a jagged dogleg left fairway surrounded by bunkers and lined by thick tree groves and a wedge approach shot while the second tee shot requires a draw with a driver to a fairway that doglegs left and then a long iron to a second dogleg right and a more open green. Ball strikers for sure, but trouble everywhere.

In short, Pete Dye courses require every shot in the book and you can’t overpower the course like many PGA courses.

I like Morikawa and Hovland, Ryan Moore and EVR and I may gamble with Grillo. I won’t set my pool til late. Morikawa and Moore looked like chalk last night.
