Default Former Piston Laimbeer says he would take James over Jordan

    http://www.danpatrick.com/2015/05/28...eam-to-finals/

New York Liberty coach and former Detroit Pistons great Bill Laimbeer joined the show to talk about the NBA playoffs and much more.Dan asked who he would take, Michael Jordan or LeBron James. “There’s no question I would take LeBron James,” Laimbeer said. “He can do more.”

Laimbeer pointed to LeBron’s rebounds. He said that Jordan couldn’t lead this Cavs team to the Finals.

Laimbeer also talked about how soft the League is now. “If you have bad breath and breath on somebody, it’s probably a Flagrant 1,” Laimbeer said. “The league wants more scoring.

Leimber talked about the difference coaching women and men: “The guys think they know it all. Women listen much better.”

LAMEbeer is higher than a kite. He's still sour at what the Bulls did to them in the 90s.

    Not really.

The physicality during Jordan's time was far difficult than the touchy calls that happen now. Jordan would flourish even more in today's NBA.

He says they're doing everything they can to help offensively yet points to rebounds as why James is better? Please. Jordan would score 100/game if the rules were slanted to offense like they are now. It's a preposterous argument.

Not only that but in 2007 when James lead the Cavs to the finals he averaged roughly 21 pts a game during those finals on 35% shooting. Does anyone really believe Jordan would have those kind of pedestrian numbers? I dont think so. lol

I dont agree. Handchecking became a foul to protect Jordan.

Don't forget James was much younger than Jordan when he went to his first finals. His game has developed quite a bit, just like Jordan's did.

Jordan got the benefit of the doubt on every call, to ridiculous levels.

I just don't see how you could go wrong with building a franchise around any one of Jordan, James or Johnson.

Like a 6-8, 280 pound power forward with the skills of a point guard couldn't play in the 80s and 90s? Come on people.
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

This is a good example of providing insight into a debate.

Wrong....I remember it quite well. The Pistons were the end of that era, not the Bulls. The way the game is called changed quite a bit due to the rivalry between Jordan and the Pistons, not after.

Why don't you take the time to check and see how many free throws Jordan shot before you suggest I don't know what I'm talking about.
